MISSIONS TRIP RECAP!
What an epic 2 weeks in Uganda…our team had
amazing GOD encounters, unforgettable connections with the children and life
changing experiences throughout the camp. Here's a first hand account from one of our team members, Jen Collins.
The 2017 worship and arts camp was a
beautiful blend of Americans and Ugandans coming together and sharing their
spiritual gifts to teach and inspire 300 children who live in the slums of
rural Uganda. Dance, art and music lessons were thoughtfully curated and
delivered to Smile Africa. The team even managed to set up full music
production capability, which is no small feat given that electricity is
scarce! Seeing children hear their own angelic voices melted my heart and
made me believe that God is indeed good all the time and He loves each one of
us more than we can fathom. Love was shared and lives were changed.
We will probably never know the full extent of the impact made, but I know my
faith was restored and my heart was opened.
The 2017 RURO worship and creative arts camp experience was another love-filled, inspirational, life-changing experience for me and hundreds of others. The trip was well planned and flawlessly executed. Traveling to Uganda can be a daunting or scary trip for many, but the expertise, planning and communication of the RURO team made it a stress-free trip during which time the participants were left to focus on the work - loving on and teaching the children.
Thank you Shunna and the entire RURO team for another incredible experience!
